Celebrate Youth Art Month with Local Displays and Events

Youth Art Month began last Thursday with a record crowd for Big Art Day at the Lubbock Memorial Garden and Arts Center. Students, teachers, families, and administrators came to see student artwork from all campuses hanging in the gallery for the opening reception. The exhibit will be on display until March 27.

An awards ceremony and reception will be held in recognition of all grades K-12 blue ribbon recipients on March 19, 2019 at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center of the Arts. Recognition ceremonies begin at 5:30 p.m. for the Coronado and Monterey feeder pattern schools and ceremonies for the Lubbock High, Estacado, ATC, and Talkington feeder pattern schools will begin at 7 p.m. Students will be individually recognized and presented a blue ribbon certificate. The blue ribbon winners exhibit will be on display from February 26 through March 29.
